Our Story
25 years ago, a small group of people gathered in a garage in Marietta to dream about a new kind of church -- asking questions like "What if there were a church that focused on others? What if it were a place where people far from God felt comfortable coming and asking questions? What if everyone who walked through the doors felt accepted, not judged?"
LCBC's Manheim campus emerged from that dream. LCBC now meets on three different campuses throughout south central Pennsylvania with over 10,000 people in attendance each weekend. We opened the doors of our Harrisburg campus in 2007, Lancaster CIty Campus in 2010 and two other campuses coming soon to the York and Ephrata regions so that those communities can experience lives changed by Christ.
Our ministry vision is one church in multiple locations. One look, one voice and one message through the use of live worship and a high definition video message from the Manheim campus. But the locations do not exist to provide a comfortable, more convenient place for those already making the trek to an existing campus. It's about others -- friends and neighbors who would never make that trip to a campus 30 minutes away and yet need to hear the life-changing message of Jesus' love for them.
LCBC has grown significantly from its humble beginnings. As we have grown locally we have been able to act globally. Beyond our desire to impact south central Pennsylvania, LCBC is actively involved around the world in an attempt to change one community on each continent of the world. We are currently working in Africa, India, Haiti, Europe and North and South America. Whether you are part of the Manheim, Harrisburg, Lancaster City or York campus, you are part of a movement of God that is hard to define in human terms. A movement in our communities. A movement in this region. A movement in the hearts of every one of us - Lives Changed By Christ.
