Rick Boone

Rick’s success story is a classic networking story. Rick has been a good friend for many years. Rick lost his job for the second time in four years. Rick is a human resource professional with extensive senior management experience. During Rick’s search, (over six months), for a new position, he attended many C3N network meetings. Rick and I would also meet for lunch and discuss his search strategy and possible employers. Rick lives in a smaller community in Lancaster County and preferred not to move. This requirement limited the number of potential employers and professional human resource openings, but was non-negotiable, driven by family requirements. Rick’s new position had to be within a reasonable commute of his home. One morning I was listening to a local Christian radio station on my way to work, WDAC. A large local family held company was advertising for a human resource professional. The company was located approximately 10 minutes from Rick’s home. I emailed Rick about the opening, he applied, and was hired two weeks later. Networking does work, Yea God!
