David Ashcraft
Senior Pastor
Born in Dallas to missionary parents, David was raised in France until the age of seven. The family moved to California where his father pastored a church for six years before moving to Dallas, Texas and the Scofield Memorial Church.
David graduated from Texas Tech University (where he met his wife Ruth) with a degree in Business Administration. He then received his Master’s Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Major in Pastoral Studies. Prior to becoming the Pastor of LCBC he served for 12 years at Scofield Memorial Church in Dallas as the Minister to Adults. During that time, he also served for 10 years as the Director of Camp El Har in Dallas.
David began serving as Pastor of LCBC in February 1991 when the church averaged about 150 in attendance. In the midst of vision-casting and leading the growing attendance at LCBC, he earned his Doctorate’s degree in Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in May of 1999.
Having spent so many years in Texas, it’s no surprise that David’s a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. In his spare time his favorite thing to do is spend time with his family, catch a movie or hitting the golf course. David and his wife Ruth live in Manheim with their two children: Justin and Ashleigh.
