God chooses Saul to be king. On the surface, he seems to have the good qualities of being tall and handsome, but he doesn’t feel very qualified for the job.
Saul’s humility is a good thing. Had he thought he was sufficient in himself to do the job, he would believe he didn’t need God. It’s a good idea for all of us to recognize that we can’t accomplish what God wants us to do without his help!
