Micah is a prophet to the people of Judah. He tells of the future destruction of Samaria, Israel鈥檚 capitol, and Jerusalem, Judah鈥檚 capitol. Micah tells them in chapter 2 it is due to their sin, but they would prefer to listen to false prophets who are drunk.
We have many voices speaking into our lives. True prophets are those who teach us God鈥檚 Word. False prophets tell us we will be happy if we buy their product. The message of the false prophet is always easy. With three easy payments you can own something that will make you smile just like the beautiful, smiling people in the commercial. The teacher of God鈥檚 Word says you need to change your life and live life God鈥檚 way. It鈥檚 a harder task but the only path to a right relationship with God.
