Matthew 4:18-22
When Jesus called his disciples, he didn’t just offer an invitation to join a new religious group—he extended an invitation to a whole new way of life. The disciples left their boats and families behind to follow Jesus, not because they fully understood what it would mean, but because they saw something worth pursuing.
Following Jesus is more than simply aligning with a set of beliefs or doctrines. It makes you part of a movement, a journey where Jesus is the center. It often means stepping away from what’s familiar and comfortable. It challenges us to surrender control and instead embracing the adventure of walking with our Savior.
Your life won’t look the same once you respond to Jesus’ call to fully follow him. You will leave your past behind and step into a new way of living, one that leads you toward his purpose for you.
Reflect
What does it look like for you to step out of your comfort zone and follow Jesus today?
Are there things in your life that are holding you back from fully answering his call?
