Matthew 6:5-15
All too often, we reduce prayer to the action of asking God for things. But prayer helps us draw near to our Creator, listen for his voice, and align our hearts with his.
Jesus gave us a model for prayer, not to follow word-for-word, but as a guide for cultivating an intimate conversation with God. It’s in prayer that we are reminded of our dependence on him, where we find peace in the midst of chaos, and where we experience God’s transformative love.
Prayer isn’t always about getting answers or solutions. Sometimes, it’s about being still and allowing God to change us from the inside out. As we pray, we invite God’s kingdom to come and his will to be done—not just in the world, but in our hearts.

When was the last time you sat quietly in God’s presence without asking for anything?
What would it look like for you to pray with more intentionality this week?
