Samuel now takes on the leadership role God called him to as a young boy. He tells the people if they obey God, God will give them victory over the Philistines.
Samuel understood the real priorities. It was not military power or pretending to follow God by using a symbol of God’s power, but actually following God. We should have the same priorities.
