In those days, different nations had different gods. When two nations went to war, it was thought the nation with the stronger god would win. The Arameans attack Israel and belittle God in the process. Even though God is displeased with Ahab, he can鈥檛 allow other nations to insult Him. Ahab was given the opportunity to avenge God鈥檚 name, but doesn鈥檛 follow it to completion.
Do we protect God鈥檚 name, or do we do nothing when others insult Him?
