Salvation
The people in the story are amazed that Jesus was able to heal someone, but Jesus says He is able to do greater things; He is able to give people life. Although Jesus is able to raise people from the dead, here He is talking about His ability to give people eternal life. He speaks of people passing from death to life.
Trusting Jesus passes a person from death to life. Salvation is not a gradual thing; it happens in a moment when we trust Jesus. Our entire lives hinge on this one decision.
