God’s Name
Ezekiel gives God’s summary of the history of Israel, a history filled with God defending His name by making Israel great and Israel responding by disobeying God. God has had enough and will allow Israel to be defeated, but He promises that Israel will again be restored.
Each of us individually has a similar story. God does great things for us, but we disobey Him anyway. For some, disobedience happens more often and for others, less, but we all disobey. The good news is we will one day be restored. Ephesians 2:7 tells us God will one day point to us as an example of his incredible grace. God’s restoration of us will make His name greater.
