Read: Acts 2:42-47, Romans 12:4-8

It’s fascinating to see all the different activities the people of the early Church participated in together. Acts 2:42-47 shows us that everyone listened to teachings, shared meals, prayed for one another, and met in each other's homes. We don’t have an exact headcount, but we do know that as the early Church did this, they grew in numbers daily. Imagine doing that with a few hundred – or even a thousand – people today. That would take a lot of manpower!

That’s why serving was vital to the early Church and still is today. When we all come together ready to use our individual skills and talents for a shared purpose, amazing things can happen! Romans 12:4-8 tells us that God equips us to serve and support one another in various ways. We have a special function in the greater body of Christ that only we can carry out, and it’s a responsibility God has given us to manage well.
