STOP
Pause and slow down for a moment.
We all carry labels—some we’ve given ourselves, some others have placed on us. Over time, those labels can start to shape how we think, act, and see our value.
- What words do you naturally use to describe yourself?
- Where did those beliefs come from—God, other people, or your own thoughts?
- Do you believe you are chosen and wanted by God?
Write a few honest thoughts. This is about recognizing what’s been shaping your identity.
EXHALE
Take a deep breath in…hold it…and slowly breathe out.
Let go of labels that don’t come from God.
Receive who He says you are.
Inhale: “God, show me who I am…”
Exhale: “…in you.”
LOOK
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.”
— Ephesians 1:4–5
ASK
- Do you believe that God chose you?
- What false identity do you need to let go of?
- What truth do you need to hold onto today?
HEAR
Sit quietly and ask: “God, who do you say I am?”
Write down what comes to mind.
