Praying Through the Lord's Prayer
How amazing that we get to talk to the God of the universe. He is not only willing to listen to us, he wants to.

There are no scripts or particular words we need to use when we talk to God. However, in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives us a prayer that we can use as a model. You've probably heard it before, but have you ever prayed through it, truly reflecting line-by-line on what it means?

Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. (You are God, and I worship you)
May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. (You're in charge, and I submit my will to Yours)
Give us today the food we need, (I am dependent on You)
and forgive us our sins, (I turn from the wrong in my life)
as we have forgiven those who sin against us. (Help me forgive those who have wronged me in the same way You've forgiven me)
And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. (Help me to fully follow You and please You)
