The Golden Rule
In Matthew 7:12, we read what we call The Golden Rule: "Do to others what you'd have them do to you." You've probably heard it before, maybe without even realizing it was a quote from Jesus.
It's hard to find anyone in our culture who would flat-out argue with The Golden Rule. But the difficulty comes in living it out, particularly when the other person DOESN'T treat you as you would want to be treated.
But Jesus' command didn't come with conditions. Today, let's choose to take Jesus seriously and treat others how we would want to be treated, even when they don't make it easy.
