Read: Joshua 1:8
How much energy do you spend trying to make good decisions? How do you know
if you’re really choosing the right path?
When God tells Joshua to keep His Word close—thinking about it, returning to it,
and living it out—he’s not asking him to work harder or try to be more spiritual.
He's asking Joshua to stay aligned.
Living in alignment with God’s Word means orienting your life so your choices,
reactions, and priorities are shaped by what God says is true. It means letting the
Bible be the reference point you come back to when life pulls you in different
directions.
Over time, that kind of alignment produces stability and peace—not because life
gets easier, but because you’re holding on to something steady through it all. The
Bible helps you recognize God’s voice more clearly and respond with confidence
when decisions or challenges come your way.
Practice: As you move through your day, notice where your attention naturally
goes—what shapes your thoughts, reactions, or decisions. Then ask: “God, where
do I need to realign with what you say is true?”
