Bible Reading / The Narrow Path: The Honest Cost of Following Jesus

Day 6 | You Can’t Follow Jesus Alone

Read:

You've been trying to handle life by yourself. Maybe because it felt easier at first. Fewer people to explain things to, fewer expectations to manage. But somewhere along the way, the isolation stopped being a choice and started being a burden.

Ecclesiastes doesn't soften it: "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed" (Ecclesiastes 4:9, NLT). The narrow road is less populated, sure, but it isn't a solo trail. It was never meant to be.

Who's actually walking this road with you? Not just the people who know about your faith, but the ones who are on the road beside you, in the struggle, reminding you of the truth. If you can't name someone, that's the most important thing to change right now.

Pray: God, I know I was made for community, not isolation. Show me who's on this road with me and give me the courage to let them in for real, not just the parts I've cleaned up. Amen.
