Devotional:
Generosity expands beyond money. We can be generous in good works as well. Mowing an elderly person’s yard, sending a card to a grieving person, making a meal for a family in need, donating food and clothing to a shelter and simply giving a kind word to someone having a bad day are all ways we can be rich in good works. As followers of Jesus, we want generosity to flow from us. It’s an attitude and it’s a lifestyle.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to think of ways to be generous today. My eyes are open to see the people you put in my path. I am looking for opportunities to show kindness and generosity because I want to be more like Jesus, being rich in good works.
