Day 1 | Rahab: Faith That Saves

Read:

Rahab wasn’t the person anyone would’ve expected God to use. She lived in Jericho, a city filled with wicked people, and her life carried plenty of brokenness. And yet when two spies from Israel came secretly to do reconnaissance, Rahab recognized something true about God: he is real, powerful, and worth trusting.

That trust cost her something. Hiding the spies was dangerous. If she were caught, it could’ve cost her life. But Rahab decided that trusting God was worth the risk.

A lot of us want faith that feels safe and predictable. We want to know what we're getting into before we trust God with it. But Rahab’s story reminds us that faith often means stepping forward before you know exactly how everything will turn out.

Her story is also a reminder that no one is too far off for God to draw near. Rahab’s past didn’t keep her from grace, and yours doesn’t either.

Pray: God, help me trust you like Rahab did. Where I’ve been afraid to step out, give me courage. Remind me that my past does not disqualify me from your grace, and teach me to trust you fully. Amen.
