God didn’t just tolerate bringing you into his family. He wasn’t obligated or reluctant. Ephesians says he adopted us through Jesus, “and it gave him great pleasure.” That’s who your Father is. He sees you, knows you, and wants you. Not despite who you are, but in full awareness of it.
Adoption means belonging. It means having access, intimacy, and inheritance. You’re not just part of the crowd—you’re part of the family. If you’ve ever felt unwanted or unworthy, hear this clearly: your place in God’s family is secure. He chose you on purpose, with joy.
Reflect: Do you really believe God enjoys you, or just puts up with you?
Pray: God, help me receive your delight and live like I truly belong in your family.
