GE- Engaging With Families At Check-In

  • Every family arrives with a story and a mix of emotions. How does remembering this change the way you approach families at check‑in—especially when you feel rushed, distracted, or tired? What helps you stay present in those moments?
  • Body language, smiling, and anticipating needs are ways we communicate “I see you” before we even speak. Which of these comes most naturally to you, and which one do you need to be more intentional about?
  • Can you think of a time when a small moment of kindness (using a name, asking a simple question, offering help) made a lasting impact on someone? How does that perspective give meaning to your role?
