A Message From Jason

At LCBC, we’ve always been a church on mission—to introduce more and more people to Jesus. And over the past three years, we’ve watched that mission come alive in fresh and powerful ways.

Back in 2022, we launched an initiative to follow Jesus’ example of pursuing the one who’s not here yet. Now, as we wrap up that initiative, I want to pause and celebrate all that God has done through your generosity and faithfulness. We’ve seen people meet Jesus for the first time. New communities have been reached. Lives have been changed—and you’ve been part of every single one of those moments.

Thank you for being a generous church. Let’s take a moment to look back and celebrate what we’ve accomplished together through For The One

THE VISION

Our vision has always been to impact the state of Pennsylvania with the love of Jesus. Whether it’s through launching LCBC locations or reaching people online, we want to make church as accessible as possible—so that anyone, anywhere can experience the hope and love of Christ

THE INITIATIVE

In 2022, we launched a three-year campaign called For The One—a churchwide effort to follow Jesus in his pursuit of the one. As a church we committed $24 million to invest in three specific areas:

  • Growing Church Online and our digital reach
  • Expanding Community Groups & Gatherings
  • Launching new LCBC Campuses

We’ve officially received the full $24 million that was committed—what an incredible milestone! As a result we’ve seen, Church Online grow and reach people we may have never connected with otherwise. We’ve started Community Gatherings in places we’ve never been. And we’ve launched new campuses where we’re already hearing stories of hearing stories of lives changed by Christ.

Grow Church Online & Digital Reach

We’ve connected more people to Church Online by investing in targeted digital ads and showing up where people are already searching—whether it’s things like “churches near me” or “how to deal with anxiety.” By expanding our library of articles, Bible reading plans, and sermons, we’re making it easier than ever for people to discover helpful, biblical content on topics like mental health, parenting, and marriage.

  • Every week, an average of 7,017 people now join us for Church Online from all across the country and around the world.
  • Since For The One began, 16,107 people have checked in for the first time, with countless more exploring and engaging anonymously.
  • People who may never have set foot in a physical church are now hearing the truth about who Jesus is and what he’s done for them—and many would say they are lives changed by Christ because of it.
  • Since March 2022, we’ve published 410 articles, contributing to 1,117,562 views on our website from 785,089 people.
  • Each month, we’ve seen more and more monthly active users in the LCBC App! March 2025 was our highest at 16,108 people.
  • In August 2024, we launched the Daily Experience in the LCBC App, where over 13,000 individuals have interacted with content each day.

Kera's Story

“I received a Hope Pack over Christmas 2023 while I was incarcerated. That was the year I started diving back into my faith, asking God to show me his love—even from behind jail walls. I didn’t know who sent the pack, but it brought me so much joy knowing someone cared.

After my release, I went to rehab, where I first heard about LCBC. I later faced homelessness and found out I was pregnant with my son, Joshua. Through a cold and difficult winter, God never stopped providing. During a second, brief arrest, I heard about LCBC again.

God made a way once more, and I was accepted into a shelter for pregnant women. There, I heard about LCBC for a third time, looked it up, downloaded the app, and started attending Church Online every Sunday.

Then one day, a service mentioned Hope Packs. I was stunned—LCBC was the church that had sent me hope while I was incarcerated. Even though I couldn’t fill one in person, through Church Online, I got to add my name to a pack.

Since then, I’ve been getting to know Jesus more and more. He’s now the foundation of my life and how I’m raising my son. Joshua is almost 5 months old—happy and healthy—and I’m finally starting to understand how deeply God works in and through us, even after seasons of loss and pain.“

Expand Community Groups & Gatherings

One of the biggest wins of For The One has been continuing to reach new communities. Community Groups and Gatherings help us create meaningful connections in new places, especially in areas where we see the potential for future campuses. We’re taking a proactive approach by launching in places where momentum is building so we can expand our reach to introduce more people to Jesus.

  • We launched LCBC Pottstown as a Community Gathering in September 2024, and we now see over 100 people gather each weekend in an AMC theater to experience church together and build relationships. We placed Jeremy Sowers as the Location Pastor to build community relationships and invest in the local leaders at that location. This past Easter, they saw record attendance of 156.
  • Since launching LCBC Altoona as a Community Gathering in 2022, we’ve outgrown several different spaces. Because of your generosity, we were able to move into an even larger space in April to make room for more people in the community to connect and grow in their faith. As we launched them into their new space for Easter we had 317 people join us! This spring, Corey Blockus moved into the role of Location Pastor to lead the way and invest in the people of Altoona.
  • LCBC Center Valley (Allentown/Bethlehem) kicked off as a brand-new Community Gathering in November 2023 and in just a few months, more than 70 people have been showing up each week to experience church together in an AMC movie theater. What started as a small group is already becoming a strong, consistent community.

Tom's Story

“I lead a non-profit in Pottstown called Beacon of Hope that serves the homeless community by providing shelter and support services. For years, my family and I felt disconnected from church—we just couldn’t find a place that welcomed not only us, but also the people I serve every day.

That changed when we found LCBC. It’s become a place where we feel seen, accepted, and encouraged. Now, every night at the shelter, I’ve started showing LCBC gatherings!”

Launch & Expand New Campuses

Through For The One, we continued to explore opportunities in communities near existing LCBC locations, where shorter drive times can remove barriers and make it easier for friends, families, and neighbors to attend. We are so excited to have launched LCBC Sinking Spring, LCBC West York, and LCBC Willow Street.

  1. LCBC Willow Street launched in October 2023 at Penn Manor High School and now welcomes an average of 424 people each week. We’ve already celebrated 24 baptisms, and we’re in the final stages of securing a permanent location with the initial funds needed to move forward
  2. LCBC Sinking Spring, which launched in November 2023, just celebrated the opening of their new building on April 6, moving out of Wilson West Middle School and into a brand-new home. Since opening their new space they’ve welcomed an average of 576 people each weekend—a 117% increase in attendance each weekend. This prompted them to add a third Easter gathering at the last minute to make more room
  3. LCBC West York launched in March 2024 and meets weekly at Christian School of York. 436 people are joining each weekend, and we’ve seen lives being changed—including 40 baptisms so far
  4. At LCBC Hanover, a major renovation is underway to double the campus footprint by Christmas of 2025—making room for the 37% growth we’ve seen in 2024 and creating space for over 1,200 people each weekend.

Harry's Story

“I grew up attending Wilson West and always had a great support system around me—loving parents who were strong in their faith, and 6 siblings. I knew my family loved me, but I still craved acceptance and sought after it in all the wrong places.

I quickly discovered that the more I rebelled from what I knew to be right, the easier it got. But that sense of acceptance never came. In my Godless world, I never once felt good enough. I filled my life with things that brought instant gratification and helped me cope. Constantly looking for something to offer the peace that I was so eagerly looking for.

About six months ago, I found myself walking into LCBC with my 4-year-old daughter, Willow. God had put several obstacles in my life that I could no longer ignore. Convictions started settling on my heart that I had no real answers for. God was knocking, and thankfully, I decided to answer.

Since trusting Jesus, I still don’t have all the answers. I still have bad days. I still fall short of his glory. The difference is, I know he loves and accepts me anyway.”

Zyan's Story

“I grew up going to church with my family, but for much of my life I felt like it was more for adults. I never fully connected with it. I believed that simply knowing about Jesus was enough, but I didn’t seek out a personal relationship with him.

When I left for college, the challenge of leaving behind my family, relationships, sports, and other familiar comforts was greater than I expected. It was in that season of struggle that I realized I couldn’t do it on my own. I needed someone greater than myself to rely on.

Since trusting Jesus, I have found peace, strength, and purpose. I no longer fear the future but embrace it, knowing that God has a plan for my life. Through him, I’ve been transformed and my life has new meaning.”

Shannon's Story

“The past few years have been a struggle. My marriage of 18 years was filled with abuse and indescribable pain. I kept it a secret because I felt defeated. I didn’t want my kids to come from a broken family. After my divorce, I struggled with depression and anxiety. My family helped me get back on my feet as a now single mother, and I’m so grateful for the gift that they are.

When God brought James into my life, who introduced me to LCBC, that “broken family” feeling started to fade. I’ve never had a message touch my heart so deeply! I trust Jesus to guide me and my family through this world, even though it doesn’t always make sense to me. God has given me a wonderful life, and I trust his plans.”
