Disobedient God: Trusting a God Who Goes Off-Script

Hazleton

What do we do when God doesn’t do what we want Him to? What do we do when God flips the script and does something completely different than what we planned out for Him? How do we rest knowing that, even if God wasn’t the direct cause of our pain, He allowed it? How many times have we found ourselves in that spot? With a version of faith that has been taught to many of us, it’s hard to make sense of pain and disappointment. We don’t know what to do with a God that doesn’t follow our prayer requests. This group is for anyone who has ever experienced disappointment, uncertainty, or pain in their lives, but wants to deepen their faith in the midst of it. Over 6-weeks, we’ll explore Albert Tate’s book, Disobedient God: Trusting a God Who Goes Off-Script, where we’ll work to answer the question, “How do we continue to stay faithful when we’re hurt or disappointed with God?” and discover/rediscover His never-ending heart for us.
