Join us as we learn about and seek physical wellness together! Week 1. Nutrition and vitamins: Discuss the basics of essential nutrients to maintain good health and manage weight. Review carbohydrates, proteins and fats, and what foods contain each. Look at food labels to see what's best to eat. Discuss benefits of ample hydration. Review vitamins and foods that contain them and why they are necessary. Week 2. Sleep meditation and stress management techniques: Review current recommendations for sleep needs, practices to promote good sleep and things to avoid. Discuss benefits of meditation and deep breathing and review simple steps to perform these. Discuss what stress is, how it can impact your health and review what can be done to mediate its effects on the body. Week 3. Exercise and light therapy: Discuss the benefits of exercise, the different kinds and review simple exercises that you can do without having to go to the gym. Review the latest information on sunlight, red light and near infrared light and how it can be beneficial to your health. Discuss ways to get exposure safely. Review how red light and near infrared can help heal and increase longevity. Week 4. Hormone optimization and gut health: Discuss fundamentals of the digestive system and it's microbiome. Review things that can affect gut health. Explain how your gut talks to your brain. Explore therapeutic interventions to preserve gut function. Review hormones, what they do, what they are in the shifts associated with aging. Discuss ways to optimize your hormone levels to maintain youthful vitality. Week 5. Alzheimer's and arthritis prevention: Discuss the basics of Alzheimer's disease and arthritis, their symptoms, their causes prevention tactics and basic ways to alleviate symptoms. Week 6. Minerals and supplements: Discuss what they are, what they do and review some of the ones with probable beneficial qualities.
