Last spring, we launched our For The One initiative to raise $20 million to fund three strategic opportunities to further our mission of seeing more people introduced to Jesus across the state of Pennsylvania. Together, our church showed up in an incredible way by committing $24 million to For The One, and we have an exciting to share an update on our progress in these areas:
Expanding Digital and Online Reach
We want to show up for people long before they ever show up at our church. So far this year, more than 45,000 people have read articles from our church that provide biblical perspectives on navigating life's challenges. Our team continues adding resources to this area, including more than 50 new articles this year!
We also launched our first podcast, the Live Changed Podcast, which has over 21,000 listens on Apple/Spotify and over 17,153 views on YouTube.
Growing Community Groups
We know that to impact new areas of the state, we will have to throw a lot of seeds out to see which ones take off. We have groups meeting in Altoona, Selinsgrove, Quakertown, and State College. We're also exploring the potential of a West York location in the future, and we continue to dream about opportunities in places like Quakertown and Pottstown. We don't know yet where God will lead us, but we want to be ready to move when he does.
Launching New LCBC Campuses
We have launch dates for two new campuses in Willow Street and Wyomissing! LCBC Willow Street will launch on October 1, and LCBC Wyomissing on November 12. Both campuses will start meeting in schools while we work to lock in permanent properties. Our For The One initiative exists to remind us that we all know one person, one life that has yet to be changed by Christ. You’ve collectively shared thousands of names with us – names of people you want to keep going after so they know that God loves them beyond measure. Thank you for being on mission with us.
