Head
The woman Jesus meets at the well had every reason to believe she was forgotten. She was a Samaritan, a woman, and someone whose personal history had likely caused others to judge her. Yet Jesus intentionally crossed social, cultural, and religious barriers to meet her.
What's amazing is that Jesus doesn't begin by fixing her behavior. He begins by offering her living water. He speaks to her deepest need: her longing to be known and loved.
After encountering Jesus, the woman does something unexpected. She leaves her water jar behind and runs back to the town to tell others. The person who came to the well trying to avoid people becomes the person inviting people to Jesus.
Her story reminds us that God doesn't waste our stories. The places where we've experienced grace often become the places where we can point others toward him.

Many people believe they need a perfect story before they can share Jesus with others. But the Samaritan woman shows us that our testimony isn't powerful because we were perfect—it's powerful because Jesus met us.
