Celebrate Easter With Us! | Plan Your Visit

Read:

We often picture Jesus as serious and reserved. But this verse describes a moment when he was “filled with joy,” the kind that overflowed.

What had him so ecstatic? His closest followers were finally beginning to understand who he was, what he came to do, and how important it was to spread the word. Lives were being changed, and Jesus saw that as something worth celebrating.

As we grow up, we sometimes learn to stifle our joy—that it’s childish to get too excited about anything, or too risky to get our hopes up. But Jesus didn’t hold back his joy, and neither should you. If you never celebrate what God’s doing, you risk missing out on hope, gratitude, and confidence in God’s goodness.

So today, name something good. Say it out loud. Thank God for it. And then let it show!

Pray: God, forgive me for rushing past joy. Open my eyes to the good things you're doing in my life and teach me to celebrate it boldly. Amen.
