Hannah praises God after giving her son to God. This is another step in God鈥檚 plan to make sure Israel is led well. Eli鈥檚 sons are next in line to provide spiritual leadership to the nation, but they are immoral men. God is preparing a solution through a little boy with a godly mother.
After all the longing for a child, she gives him away. Does the longing make us rely on God more or cause us to take desperate actions? Abraham had a child with another woman, but Hannah, waited and gave God what she promised.
