Read: Matthew 10:29-31; Matthew 20:28; Luke 12:24

An object’s value is determined by the price someone is willing to pay for it. We see in Matthew 10:29-31 that two sparrows, for example, would have been worth one copper coin.

You are more valuable to God than an entire flock of sparrows. You are so valuable to God that he paid the highest price so that you could be welcomed into his kingdom. As Matthew 20:28 puts it, Jesus’ death on the cross was the ransom God paid so that you could be free from the bondage of your sins.

If God was willing to pay such a high price for you, imagine how valuable you must be to him! The next time you feel worthless, read these verses and remind yourself of the truth that you are precious to God and have immeasurable worth in his eyes.
