How many times have you found yourself waiting to make a move until you heard
God speak? Have you considered the possibility that he isn’t speaking because you
aren’t moving?
God sometimes speaks most clearly when we take a step forward instead of
standing still. After all, obedience is where your faith really begins to take form.
You already know what God wants from your life—maybe not the specifics, but the
general overview. And if the step you take moves you in that direction, he’ll give
you enough to show you what’s next.
Whether it’s a hard conversation, an act of forgiveness, or a simple step of
generosity, God meets you in your willingness to move.
Practice: Have you been waiting to move? Take one step of faith today—forgive
someone, serve someone, give something. Think about it later today and reflect on
how you felt God’s presence.
