Read:

Jesus is with his disciples for one last time before returning to heaven, and they’re asking the question most of us would ask too: what happens now?

They want clarity. A timeline. They want Jesus to tell them when God is finally going to act.

Feel familiar? A lot of us pray the same way: “God, just make it clear.” “Show me what’s next.” “Tell me where this is going.”

Jesus doesn’t give them the clarity they want, but he does give them instructions: by the power of the Holy Spirit, be his witnesses—from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. He doesn’t hand them an itinerary for the future. He calls them to trust him and be faithful in the present.

Sometimes we ask Jesus for clarity, but what we need is to trust him. We want enough details to feel safe before we obey. But faith grows when we’re willing to move with him before we can see the whole picture.

The question is not whether Jesus can use your life. The question is whether you’re willing to see your life—your home, friendships, work, and routine—as part of his mission. If you’re willing to accept an assignment even if you don’t know specifically what he's planning. Ultimately, the specifics don’t matter. What matters is that his plan is still in motion, and he’s ready for you to help advance it.

Prayer: Jesus, help me trust you even when I do not have all the answers. I want to stop waiting for perfect clarity and start being faithful with what you've already put in front of me. Use my everyday life for your plans. Amen.
