Read:

Paul and Barnabas are preaching in a new region, and the message of Jesus is now reaching people far beyond where it first began. What started in Jerusalem doesn't stay there.

That’s how God works. He starts smaller than we'd expect—one conversation we make time for. One person we invite to church. One "yes" we give God when we feel his nudge. Over time, these small pieces add up and God builds something bigger than we could’ve imagined on our own.

Think about it this way: somebody introduced you to Jesus. And somebody introduced them. And somebody did the same for the person before them. The message kept getting passed from one life to another until it reached you. God put every person in exactly the right place so that someday you would know about him.

You may never know what hangs on one simple word about your faith. What feels small to you may be another stepping stone God put in place for another person to someday know him.

Prayer: God, thank you for the people who passed your message on until it reached me. Show me who I can encourage, invite, or pray for this week. Use my small acts of faithfulness to make you known, even long after I’m gone. Amen.
