Read Philippians 3:3-9

What is your passion, the thing that you will always find time and energy for, the thing that restores you? If you’re looking for wisdom about following your passion, start with these questions.

Here is Paul, the apostle, teacher, and writer of Scripture. But he wasn’t always that. Before he was an apostle of Jesus Christ, he was a persecutor of Christians. As an apostle his passion was to help others know God better. After he met Christ on the Damascus Road (Acts 9), Paul submitted his passions to Christ. He put what he wanted under what God wanted for him.

God created you with talents, skills, and passions. God will want you to find a way to use that to help introduce people to Jesus and together fully follow him.

One step might be to explore serving opportunities. LCBC has opportunities for serving in kidMinistry, Next Steps, Facilities Maintenance, and more - but there may be areas in your community that fit your talents and passions better. Seek them out. God created you with a passion; he also created a place for you to use it.

Prayer: God, you have created me as a person with talents and desires, and I want to use these to serve you and the people around me. Help me to find a way to use my passions. I want your wisdom in this. Amen.
