Read: Matthew 7:24
Building on the rock wasn’t the easy choice—it required more work, patience, and
diligence—but it produced something that withstood the harsh elements and
provided lasting shelter. In life, the easiest or quickest path often feels tempting,
but God’s way protects us from shortcuts that lead to temporary solutions.
Learning to hear God’s voice is one thing. Developing the discipline to follow it is
another. God’s wisdom produces the best results, even when it takes more effort
than we want to give. Every intentional choice to follow God’s voice, to step in
obedience, strengthens your faith and builds a life anchored in stability and peace,
like a house built on solid rock.
Practice: Pause and pray about the choices you face today. Ask God: “Which option
aligns with your wisdom, even if it’s harder?” Take one step in obedience—maybe at
work, in a relationship, or in a small act of kindness. Whatever step you take, ask
God to protect and guide you through it.
