Bible Reading / The Man God Made You To Be

Day 4 | A Man With Community

Read:

Humans weren’t made to live in isolation. Even the first man, Adam, needed a partner. God’s design includes relationships—people to walk with you, challenge you, and encourage you. And yet, many of us have fallen for the lie that a real man carries the weight alone—because vulnerability is a sign of weakness.

But being honest about your struggles, leaning on trusted friends, and opening your life to accountability doesn’t make you less of a man. Even Jesus surrounded himself with disciples, relying on them for community, support, and partnership in his mission. He also modeled how to face hardship without hiding it, showing us that transparency and connection are part of God’s plan for thriving.

Independence doesn’t prove your toughness. It just makes the journey harder. True strength grows in connection—when you open your heart to the people God’s put in your life.

Reflect: Who in your life can you be more honest with? Where might God be inviting you to let others in so you don’t face the storm alone?

Pray: God, help me embrace the people you’ve placed in my life. Teach me to be honest, to receive support, and to build relationships that reflect your love and wisdom.
